Integrity is an essential part of our culture. Eric Gowin, president, says, “We approach our projects as partnerships with our clients and fellow professionals. We do a maximum price and then protect them. We work closely with them to make sure we bring the project in on time and within budget. We head up the design, employ the architect and carefully work through the design issues. By committing to a true partnership, we look out for everyone’s best interest.”

Ed Lampitt, vice president of Trammel Crow Company/Krombach Partners, says, “Eric Gowin’s honesty, integrity and creative construction approach brings value to each project. You know what you’re getting with Eric Gowin, and that’s why we work with him.”

Everyone’s best interest – you deserve that kind of integrity, service and success.

Contegra Graduates with Honors from Sanford-Brown

At Contegra, we always try to meet the needs of our clients. As a design/build contractor for Sanford-Brown College’s recently completed new headquarters in Fenton, Mo., we successfully performed turn-key site preparation and construction services. Sanford Brown College offers short-term, degree and non-degree programs in allied health, business and information technology. The new facility can accommodate up to 2,000 students.

However, after the project was completely designed and under construction, Sanford-Brown asked for an in-house working ambulance so students could attend injured victims in a simulated moving vehicle and become better prepared when they started working in their field. We modified our work schedule on the construction of the front curtain wall of green-tinted glass and its framing, and when the timing was right, we installed the ambulance then the front wall.

Contegra Keeps Up With Demand at Gateway Commerce Center

Gateway Commerce Center in Edwardsville, Ill., has become a distribution hub for bulk warehouse tenants in the Midwest, and at Contegra, we’re helping to expand it. Our association with the center’s manager and developer Trammell Crow Company/Krombach Partners ensures that all our construction projects run smoothly, with on-time completions and few surprises.

Currently, we’re the general contractor for Inner Park One, a new 479,000-square-foot warehouse distribution center with room for a maximum of four tenants, which will be available December 2006.

Recently, within the Center we’ve increased space for World Wide Technology, a logistics provider for the telecom industry, to 513,000 square feet. The building also has room to grow – to more than 800,000 square feet.  World Wide opened its warehouse in the industrial park in June 2005 with a 297,095-square-foot lease and expanded to 405,284 square feet in January 2006. We’ve also constructed Schneider National’s 30,000-square-foot operating center for 400 trucks, and we performed the site and infrastructure work for the U.S.F. Holland truck terminal.

ITT Technical Institute

Contegra Construction Co. completed the 32,294-square-foot campus for ITT Technical Insitute at 3640 Corporate Trail Drive near the intersection of Interstates 270 and 70 in Earth City, Mo. The school recently relocated to the new campus from the space it was leasing at 13505 Lakefront Drive in Earth City.

The one-story building hosts a new 80-computer lab as well as state-of-the-art classrooms, labs, offices and lounges for students and teachers. Approximately 775 students are currently enrolled there.

Contegra provided complete turn-key site preparation and construction services on the $3.4 million project. To deliver the building before the lease expired on ITT Tech’s existing facility, Contegra kept to an aggressive eight-month schedule and sequenced trades efficiently. The structure, designed by Gray Design Group, features a brick exterior with extensive storefront glass. The entrance is marked by two decorative canopies.

ITT Technical Institutes are operated by ITT Educational Services Inc. (NYSE: ESI), which provides technology-oriented, post-secondary degree programs. The company operates 87 institutes in 33 states including a second local campus in Arnold, Mo.
