Integrity is an essential part of our culture. Eric Gowin, president, says, “We approach our projects as partnerships with our clients and fellow professionals. We do a maximum price and then protect them. We work closely with them to make sure we bring the project in on time and within budget. We head up the design, employ the architect and carefully work through the design issues. By committing to a true partnership, we look out for everyone’s best interest.”

Ed Lampitt, vice president of Colliers Turley Martin Tucker, says, “Eric Gowin’s honesty, integrity and creative construction approach brings value to each project. You know what you’re getting with Eric Gowin, and that’s why we work with him.”

Everyone’s best interest – you deserve that kind of integrity, service and success.

Contegra Graduates with Honors from Sanford-Brown

At Contegra, we always try to meet the needs of our clients. As a design/build contractor for Sanford-Brown College’s recently completed new headquarters in Fenton, Mo., we successfully performed turn-key site preparation and construction services. Sanford Brown College offers short-term, degree and non-degree programs in allied health, business and information technology. The new facility can accommodate up to 2,000 students.

However, after the project was completely designed and under construction, Sanford-Brown asked for an in-house working ambulance so students could attend injured victims in a simulated moving vehicle and become better prepared when they started working in their field. We modified our work schedule on the construction of the front curtain wall of green-tinted glass and its framing, and when the timing was right, we installed the ambulance then the front wall.

Sanford-Brown College Headquarters Criteria

  • Schedule: May 2005 to December 2005
  • Building: Two-story 55, 000 square feet
  • 23 classrooms, nine lecture classrooms, six computer labs, nine wet labs including an emergency medical services lab complete with an ambulance
  • Site improvements included: 25,000 cubic yards of excavating and underground piped storm water detention system
  • Parking for 440 vehicles
